About Us
The Department of Rehabilitation & Aged Care is part of the School of Medicine of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Flinders University, Adelaide, South Australia.
As a clinical academic Department, it has strong functional links with the region's major health care providers. These include the
- Repatriation General Hospital,
- Flinders Medical Centre,
- Noarlunga Health Services, and
- Southern Domiciliary Care & Rehabilitation Service.
Together with these organisations, our Department provides a broad range of clinical services to elderly and disabled people in the southern region of Adelaide, South Australia. It serves a population of some 315,000 people of whom 44,000 (14%) are aged over 65 years.
