The aim of the short course is to provide health service workers, who are taking a leadership or support role in reorienting their health setting to become more health promoting, with:
- A greater understanding of an integrated approach to health promotion
- A greater understanding of different frameworks for conceptualising a settings approach to health promotion and health promoting health services
- A greater understanding of ways in which health services can become more health promoting
- A greater understanding of the different levels and approaches to change required to reorient health services to become more health promoting
- An opportunity to network with people with similar interests and share experiences. PHCA 8918

The short courses marked with an (*) are also available as topics of study with the Department of Public Health.
If you would prefer to do the short course as workforce development - that is, without undertaking assignments or further work, please register on a registration form to participate in the short course.
If you would prefer to undertake a topic of study (and attend the short course) you will need to enrol through the University before the 30 th March 2006 for semester 1 and 30 th August 2006 for semester 2 and pay a different fee.
