Medical Students - Rural Programs
The
Flinders University School of Medicine has worked hard to ensure
rural health issues are included at all levels throughout the Graduate
Entry Medical Program. We are especially proud that despite the
transition to a four year course (and hence the loss of flexibility
a six year course offers) a total of more than nine weeks formal
teaching occurs in a rural environment, with the option of extra
weeks available to students if they so desire. These core rural
activities are outlined below and detailed on the linked pages.
