Cheryl Marshall commenced her career as a symbolic typist and later a
secretary in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Flinders University
in Adelaide, South Australia in January 1971. She later became Chairman’s
Secretary for a number of years prior to her resignation in 1981.
Her next employment was with RCPA Quality Assurance Programs (QAP), Chemical Pathology group for 21 years (November 1986 - October 2007). Cheryl was the first official administrative person with the Chemical Pathology QAP. Cheryl held the position of Specialist Typist with the Chemical Pathology QAP.
In November 2007 Cheryl joined the Community Point-of-Care Services unit as Senior Administrative Assistant. In her current role she provides specialist administrative support to the Director, assists the unit’s scientific team with organisation and delivery of training and data management, and preparation of material for conference presentations (posters and PowerPoint), publications, and teaching.
Cheryl continues to have an excellent working relationship and frequent
contact with her former colleagues at the Chemical Pathology QAP, and
utilises her knowledge on many aspects of quality assurance in her day
to day contact with QAAMS participants.
