Welcome...

Welcome to the Department of Health Management at Flinders, South Australia 's premier provider of post-graduate education for leadership in health administration.

Our courses are designed for managers at all levels who work in the health and aged care sectors or related industries, both public and private. Our objective is to provide people with a high level of analytical and conceptual skills, as well as practical knowledge, so they can succeed in today's complex hospital and health care environment. To achieve this we use an adult learning approach which combines academic teaching, interactive exercises related to the student's own work setting, and teaching sessions with industry leaders.

The curriculum for the courses is regularly reviewed and overseen by an Industry Advisory Committee to ensure currency and relevance. The courses are accredited by the Australian College of Health Service Executives, the Royal Australian College of Medical Administrators and the Royal College of Nursing.

Our staff are always willing to answer any questions you may have. We also welcome feedback, comments and suggestions from prospective and current students, employers and other stakeholders in the wider community.
